A blessing for a table after a hard year
For the year with the layoff, the diagnosis, or the empty chair.
Lord, this has been a hard year and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Thank you that we are still here, still together, still around one table.
Thank you for the people who carried us when we could not carry ourselves.
We are asking you for an easier year. Until then, stay close.
Bless this food and these people.
